Drew Brees

Week 13 of the NFL gets underway Thursday night (Friday AEDT) with what should be an interesting clash between arguably the best team in all of football at the moment, the New Orleans Saints, and the in-form Dallas Cowboys.

DraftKings will, as usual, be offering a monster prize pool for the Thursday night game, and we have you covered with our best daily fantasy tips for the match-up below.

NFL Week 13 Thursday Daily Fantasy Tips

Must Have – Alvin Kamara (New Orleans) Amari Cooper (Dallas)

In terms of yards and touchdowns allowed per game, Dallas’ defence has been fairly solid in 2018 so far. However, Alvin Kamara has been in rich vein of form this season, scoring over 30 on four different occasions and racking up one of the more impressive fantasy seasons by a running back. The New Orleans star averages 25.7 points per game and while Ezekiel Elliot will be an option for many on Thursday night, we think Dallas will play a pass heavy game, making Kamara the better option.

Amari Cooper had easily his best outing as a Cowboy on Thanksgiving against the Redskins. The Wide receiver caught for a whopping 180 yards including two touchdown catches to rack up a ridiculous 41 points. He comes up against one of the worst passing defences in the league this weekend against New Orleans in what is likely to be a shootout and should be Dak Prescott’s number one target once again.

Sleepers – Dak Prescott (Dallas) Dan Arnold (New Orleans)

All eyes will likely be on MVP candidate Drew Brees on Thursday night, but we see some real value in Dallas QB Dak Prescott as a mini point of difference. New Orleans allows more points to QB’s than any other team in the league and Dak is coming off one of best games of the season against the Redskins on Thanksgiving. The second year QB passed for 289 yards and two touchdowns in the win, also adding another touchdown along the ground for 27.36 fantasy points.

Dallas have been pretty stingy when it comes to allowing receivers points in 2018. They rank 3rd in the league in points allowed to wide receivers, however, one spot where they do leak some fantasy points is at the tight end position. They rank 25th overall for points allowed to tight ends, making second string Saints TE Dan Arnold a great pick this Thursday night. Arnold had his best game of the season on Thanksgiving against the Falcons, catching four balls on six targets and racking up 45 yards and touchdown for 14.5 points.

Stay Away – Mark Ingram (New Orleans) Either Defence

After racking up 16 carries in Week 11 against Philadelphia, Mark Ingram rushed just 11 times against the Falcons on Thanksgiving and caught just two passes. Dallas play a stifling run defence so Brees should be looking to air the ball out quite a bit on Thursday. We think the majority of the rushing opportunities out of the backfield should go to Kamara.

The New Orleans defence hasn’t been fantastic at all this season, allowing over 23 points per game and regularly getting into passing shootouts with opposition teams. The Dallas defence has been a lot better, but it’s hard to select any defence in the league when they are playing against Brees and the Saints. If you’re in a flex competition that doesn’t require you to select a defence, steer well clear.
