Australian DFS Weekend Results - 24th September 2018
What a great weekend of sport it was! We saw the Magpies and Eagles progress through to the AFL Grand Final and the Storm and Roosters earn their way through to the NRL Grand Final. Oh, and Tiger Wood won his first title in 5 years! As usual, there were some great DFS contests accommodating these events. Check out some of the best wins here.
Once again, TopBetta hosted numerous lucrative tournaments for the weekend’s racing. The most lucrative one this time was the $2k Saturday Metro Gallops, which ended up with 19 entries, 29 re-buys and a $2,400 prize pool. There were a lot of familiar names fighting it out for the $1,440 first place prize, but Harry007 was the man who came out on top after a string of classy plays. Coming in second place was Nala2015 ($720) and third was mobydick23 ($240).
Draftstars are home to some huge contests for the AFL every weekend and it was no different this time around, as they hosted $40,000 contests for both Friday and Saturday’s AFL Preliminary Finals, The Friday night contest attracted the most numbers, with 3093 players trying their luck. There could only be one major winner, though, and that was rubbsta, who collected the monster $4,881 first place prize. Second place and a cool $3,661 went to Graybrown, third place and $2,197 went to Broady4_, while Instorgata and PhalanxPhala rounded out the top 5 with $1,611 and $1,464 collects, respectively.
Draftstars have also continued to pump out great EPL contests for us to indulge in. Saturday’s most prestigious contest had a $6,000 prize pool and 464 entries. With so many players to choose from, there were a few very unique line-ups at the top of the leaderboard. The best formula, however, belonged to Hayes280390, who took home the chocolates (and $757). Other podium finishes were Smellybums and dparker93, who collected $567, $340, respectively.
PlayON were back with some great contests for the exciting weekend of sport. Their Friday AFL contest was once again tightly contested, with 32 entrants fighting it out for the top prize. Familiar names reigned supreme once again, with Bigo1 ($310) and Rexel9 ($215) finishing in first and second, while asanque ($165) finished in third position.
