Results may have settled in the AFL after Round 4 (unless you are a Tigers fan…) yet the beauty of Daily Fantasy was on show with key injuries affecting many results. It was a massive weekend for both sites on Draftstars & DraftKings which awarded many winners over the weekend.

Before we look at the winners, let's have a look at the key players from Round 4.

Stud Watch

Lachie Neale (123): Don’t let the 0.6 in front of goal bring you down. Top scored for the round and awarded the 35+% of owners on both sites who paid the premium price for him. Wonder what price Neale will be in Round 5 against Port Adelaide?

Damn it! Missed him

Cam Guthrie (106): 2% on Draftstars and 9.5% on DraftKings we couldn’t miss Guthrie and his excessive facial growth as he went about the Cats kick and mark game. 19 Kicks and 10 marks and Melbourne didn’t mind that one bit. Proud owners if you had him in Cats stacks.

GPP Winning play

Mark O’Connor (102): 1% on Draftstars and 0.7% on DraftKings. Melbourne as per the data tools did give up the most fantasy points to defenders through round 3 and the Cats defence had a field day. However it did take an injury to popular defender Tom Stewart to allow O’Connor to tonne up. Only have to shrug the shoulders there.

How good is chalk!

Toby Nankervis (118): At 50% on both sites, if you didn’t have Nankervis in your ruck, your Saturday was over. The 7 tackles from the ‘Nank’ was the key to his mega score and you will not see his cheap price tag ever again.

Oh dearly me…

We cannot pot the injury affected players, but we must feel for the owners of Nat Fyfe, Tom Stewart and Dayne Zorko. Thoughts and prayers for each of you. However if you went the $5k Curtis Taylor/Jono Patton double on Draftstars then you live and learn.

Weekend Winners

It all kicked off Thursday with the Bulldogs defeating the Swans in Sydney. Both sites continue posting huge contests!

Draftstars went huge with a $100,000 contest for only a $15 entry and just under 6200 entries battled it out for the $10K+ prize. We love single bullets at DFR and it only took one from ‘IamMaximus’ to win the $10,000 1st prize.

DraftKings posted a $60,000 USD contest with a crazy $20,000 1st prize! Over 4,470 entries were entered (for a massive overlay) and we had a chop for the 1st prize with DFR members 'Crystal Bros' and 'mango27491' tying at the top of the leaderboard.

On Friday the Giants got on top of the Magpies in Sydney and Draftstars went back to back $100,000 contests! Brodie Grundy was super popular on this slate and put in a workmanlike performance. For ‘Howhardisit” it wasn’t so hard overall by finishing 1st for a $10,000+ collect!

Over at DraftKings it was ‘cyrbitt’ taking out 1st place in the $60,000 USD Blinder ($20,000 to 1st). Cyrbitt is a DK veteran and adds AFL to his impressive resume of results.

The 4 game slate on Saturday for the AFL was a huge day as the entries piled into DraftKings and Draftstars. It was a huge day for former DFR number 1 ranked players ‘Broady_4’ and ‘Chriseddy999’. Broady took out the $75,000 feature on Draftstars for $10,000+ winnings from 1st and 4th! Then Chris nailed the DraftKings for Saturday Blinder for $20,000+ USD in multiple top 10 placings, including 1st, 2nd and 3rd!

Sunday was an anticipated three game slate with Draftstars and DraftKings matching prize money in their main contests. On DraftKings we had another international winner with ‘neodave10’ just doubling his entry to take out the 1st prize for a $13,000 USD collect! Extraordinary considering the prize pool was $35,000!

It looked like it was going to be another ‘fatebender’ whitewash on Draftstars but pipping the ‘bender’ at the post was DFR member ‘vnhgghhg’ who cheered Tom Mitchell home and took out the 1st prize of $7,550!

Congratulations to all winners from the weekend and we hope that all members and participants are enjoying the offerings from both Daily Fantasy sites. Keep it locked in on DFR throughout the week as we will provide future previews for all slates and all the news you need for your DFS play.
