The BBL11 gets underway on Sunday and at Daily Fantasy Rankings we are back for another supercharged summer of cricket! Hopefully this new season can be run and won as scheduled, but you just never know in these times. Get ready to be agile, swift and react when La Nina rains out half the season (jokes).

Draftstars remains your home to play Daily Fantasy Cricket in Australia. But with increased prize pools and plenty of contests for all price points, DFR are back once again with our Daily Previews and our FREE Data Tools for every single game of the tournament.

For each contest of the BBL11 season, DFR will break down each match by providing our Daily Previews on every contest with our suggested plays. You can dig deeper into the data by accessing our Game Logs from seasons past (all the way back to BBL07 if you are that keen).

Also, this season we are looking to expand our multimedia offering via video previews and a new feature for BBL11, the use of Twitter Spaces. For highlighted matches, join DFR as they go live to discuss team news at the bat flip and interact with listeners as they provide DFS discussion before the first ball. Make sure you are following us on Twitter - @RankingsDFS to join in the discussion.

Are you new to Daily Fantasy Cricket? Then set aside 20 minutes and get the headphones out, as DFR’s very own ‘Smatho’ revisits a popular podcast with JT back in 2020 on how to be successful in Draftstars Daily Fantasy Cricket. Don’t worry we have edited out the dated bits but this episode has the best bones on the following topics:

  • Lineup Construction
  • How markets can guide to player performance
  • What happens if there is weather about?
  • What is a ‘donut’ and should you really be playing them?

You can now access the podcast below or search and subscribe to the Daily Fantasy Rankings Podcast on Spotify or Apple Podcasts

Draftstars

As mentioned, Draftstars are the only Australian provider to offer Daily Fantasy Big Bash and have equaled their biggest online contest prize pool to start the tournament! A $40,000 Prize Pool for the Stars and the Sixers is available on Sunday night, matching the old mark of $40,000 pool back in 2020. The entry fee remains at $15 and first prize will be $3,915! The $2 Mini tournaments are great for newcomers to the game as well as those with smaller bankrolls and regularly reach prize pools in excess of $2,000+. For those who want to hone their mass multi entry skills then the popular ‘Micro’ is back where for $0.50 you can enter up to 100 entries! For those who like to play higher stakes, the $150 entry “High Roller” is also available for this season.

Single Entry players are also catered for with a $10 buy-in contest, while cash game players can choose from a range of Double Up, Head-to-Head and 6-Man contests at different buy-in levels.

The scoring has not changed since last season where bonuses for strike rate and economy rate are key to fantasy scoring. We will be providing full previews based on Draftstars salaries for every game throughout the season.

So get ready for that mad rush after the bat flip and good luck if you are entering on Draftstars. Join in the discussions on social media and keep an eye out for the shoutouts if you take out the slate!
