Where to Attack

There are no absolute locks in this slate, although Manchester City are pretty short at $1.28 in the market. I expect them to bang in a couple of goals against a shaky Everton outfit. Chelsea have found some form and are a solid play at home, although their defence has been leaky, so you’ll look to roster their attacking players instead. Tottenham players are another feasible route to take, which just about concludes the obvious choices. For a sneaky, I don’t mind playing some West Ham guys, and maybe some Wolverhampton to shake things up.

Here’s some great picks for the Saturday night slate!

Goalkeepers

The main things we’re looking for from our main between the sticks is a clean sheet and a win. There aren’t any standouts for us this week, although Ederson ($15,380 DS) from City is your best bet at Draftstars. Chelsea have conceded in every match this year so Arrizabalaga doesn’t really appeal at a high salary. Hugo Lloris ($14,900 DS / $5,800 DK) is questionable to play but is a safe play if he’s fit for Tottenham. For a sneaky at low salary I’ll have a good look at playing Lukasz Fabianski ($10,220 DS / $4,700 DK) from West Ham. Aside from their match against City, they’ve conceded just twice this season from five fixtures and have had three clean sheets on the spin.

Defenders

Selecting defenders usually requires a similar thought process to the one you use for goalkeepers. However, there’s a bit more leniency towards conceding goals and the outcome of the match. I’m not that keen on playing all three defenders from a single team in this slate, so I’ll look for the best available from three teams. From City I’ll be taking Kyle Walker ($9,770 DS) due to his salary, but Nicolas Otamendi ($10,640 DS) is also a solid pick. Benjamin Mendy ($12,500 DS) has the most upside of the three, but he’s not 100% match fit and will likely be substituted at some point. From Tottenham, Serge Aurier ($10,980 DS / $5,400 DK) presents the best case, especially at DraftKings, while Danny Rose ($10,690 DS / $5,500 DK) is also solid. Finally, I’ll take a good look at Ryan Fredericks ($7,370 DS / $4,000 DK) from West Ham as a bit of salary relief.

Worth considering - Nathan Ake ($7,130 DS / $3,700 DK), Bjorn Engels ($7,180 DS / $2,800 DK), Gary Cahill ($7,380 DS / $3,100 DK), Willy Boly ($8,930 DS / $3,900 DK).

Midfielders / Strikers

Midfielders and strikers are grouped into one at Draftstars, so there’s no need to separate them here. I’ll look to be a bit more adventurous in this position to get as many potential goal scorers in as possible. First up, let’s start with the guns. Tammy Abraham ($12,980 DS / $8,400 DK) is the best pick by a mile and will be highly owned. Fellow Chelsea attacker Willian ($11,680 DS / $8,700 DK) is also really cheap and a great pick. For Tottenham, Tanguy Ndombele ($10,210 DS / $6,600 DK) is well priced and can go big, while Harry Kane ($17,500 DS / $10,900 DK) is a standout premium option. Joao Moutinho ($9,710 DS / $6,900 DK) always goes well and appeals against a poor Watford defence, as does Raul Jimenez ($13,030 DS / $8,000 DK). For City, your best play here is Kevin De Bruyne ($13,930 DS) who’s criminally underpriced.

Worth considering - Sergio Aguero ($17,810 DS), Raheem Sterling ($15,000 DS), Jorginho ($10,570 DS / $4,000 DK), Sebastien Haller ($12,860 DS / $6,900 DK), Wilfried Zaha ($13,100 DS / $7,300 DK), Teemu Puki ($12,530 DS / $8,200 DK).
