ICC Cricket World Cup 2019 Pakistan

The ICC Cricket World Cup moves onto Game 11 where Pakistan takes on the Sri Lanka at Bristol this Friday night, starting at 7.30 PM AEST.

Pakistan opened their 2019 World Cup campaign with a heavy loss by 7 wickets to the West Indies. They then came up against favourites and host nation England, in a match where Pakistan were expected to lose, but instead they came away with a 14 run victory.

Sri Lanka lost to New Zealand in their opening match, managing to be all out for 136 in the 30th over. New Zealand reeled in the paltry total in quick time, winning by 10 wickets in the 17th over. Sri Lanka then managed to defend their score of 201 against Afghanistan, winning by 34 runs.

MoneyBall and DraftStars will both be running the top fantasy cricket contests. MoneyBall will have the biggest prize pool of the two, with $3,000 up for grabs, with a $15 buy-in. DraftStars has $2,000 in total for their top competition, also with a $15 entry fee.

Match-Winner
The DFR match-winner is a guaranteed stud who might cost you an arm and a leg, but is going to score well on any given night.

Nuwan Pradeep – SRL ($15,330 DraftStars) ($6,200 MoneyBall)
Pradeep has the highest average on both sites, while also not being the most expensive. He came into the Sri Lankan side for their last match and took an impressive 4 for 31 off 9 overs, including a maiden over, to take man of the match honours. He’s now taken 46 wickets in 16 ODI games at a tidy average of 36.

Night-Watchman
The night-watchmen will be a great point of difference in your team and plugging him somewhere in the middle order could be the difference between winning or losing.

Mohammad Hafeez – PAK ($19,840 DraftStars) ($6,500 MoneyBall)
Pakistan’s form all-rounder, Hafeez hit an impressive 84 off 62 balls against England and then took a wicket. He was also one of 4 Pakistan batsmen to reach double figures in their opening match and took a catch too.

Sri Lanka’s batting order has been quite poor so far, opening the opportunity for Hafeez to snare a wicket or two. His performance with the bat could see him elevated up the order.

Fine-leg to Fine-leg
Anyone who’s played a game of grade cricket before knows that only the duds go from fine leg to fine leg. Avoid these guys like the plague.

Hasan Ali – PAK ($9,000 DraftStars) ($6,200 MoneyBall)
Ali has had a poor start to this World Cup campaign. In his first game he scored 1 run and took 0/39 off 4 overs. In his second match he scored an unbeaten 10 runs before taking 0/66 off ten overs.

He opened the bowling in the first match but was dropped to second change in game 2, where he was the only Pakistan bowler, out of six used, who failed to get a wicket.
