west indies vs bangladesh

The 2019 ICC Cricket World Cup continues this Monday with an interesting matchup between Bangladesh and the West Indies from 7.30pm.

The West Indies can move into 5th place on the round robin table with a win on Monday, giving themselves a massive chance to finish in the top four and move onto the semi finals.

Bangladesh will be looking to snap a two game losing streak after losing to both England and New Zealand following their opening win against South Africa.

The major daily fantasy sites in Australia will have $7,000 up for grabs tonight across the two feature tournaments. Moneyball look to have the slight edge with a $4,000 guaranteed competition compared to the $3,000 at Draftstars.

As usual, we have a full fantasy breakdown for the game including our tips below!

Match Winner

The DFR match-winner is a guaranteed stud who might cost you an arm and a leg, but is going to score well on any given night.

Shakib Al Hasan (Moneyball $8,500) Draftstars ($23,000)

The highest priced player on the board at both Moneyball and Draftstars on Monday, and for good reason. The all-rounder has been the shining light for Bangladesh so far this tournament, racking up fantasy scores of 74.5, 76.5 and 82.5 in his last three games. His last game, in particular, was ridiculous, as he notched up a brilliant 121 off just 119 balls.

He has also been getting it done with the ball, taking five wickets through the four games. In 17 career ODI games against the West Indies, Hassan’s batting average rises from 36.66 to 45.92 and the punishing all-rounder has not made under 29 in his last seven games against them.

Night Watchman

The night-watchmen will be a great point of difference in your team and plugging him somewhere in the middle order could be the difference between winning and losing.

Sheldon Cottrell (Moneyball $6,200) (Draftstars $11,150)

The left-armer has been one of the West Indies best bowlers throughout the tournament so far but still sits pretty low down on the price list, particularly at Draftstars where you can pick up him for just over $11,000. Has taken at least one wicket in all three of the completed West Indies games and has fantasy scores of 16.5, 36.5 and 39.

Bangladesh’s opening partnership averages just over 37 runs so far in this tournament and Cottrell been fantastic at taking early wickets. Look for him to claim a couple of early scalps once again.

Fine Leg to Fine Leg

Anyone who’s played a game of grade cricket before knows that only the duds go from fine leg to fine leg. Avoid these guys like the plague.

Shai Hope (Moneyball $7,100) ($18,410 Draftstars)

Opting to stay away from the West Indies keeper and opening batsman on Monday night, particularly at draftsatrs, where you don’t have to select a wicket-keeper and where there are so many good all-rounder options on the board.

Hope had a monster game against Australia, racking up 118 fantasy points, however, in the two other West Indies games, he has averaged just 36 points per game and made just 11 runs in both games. Does have a good record against Bangladesh but we are taking recent form more into account on Monday.
